Volunteer
Volunteers are a vital part of The Rat Race, the very engine of the event, whose essential mix of enthusiasm and hard work makes this unique event possible and will help it grow into a strong North American event.
Volunteer roles, mostly available during the race itself, involve a wide range of different tasks including: managing checkpoints to provide a vital line of communication with race officials and HQ via radio and phone, helping organize the inaugural and closing ceremonies, dealing with media and sponsor attendees, and helping to manage the competing teams' requirements.
The responsibilities of a volunteer are often challenging; requiring motivation – that is what makes them such extremely rewarding opportunities.
Volunteers will receive a free event shirt, food and race gifts - but for most, it is the once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the real urban wilderness of some of the most amazing cities in the U.S., surrounded by outdoor-oriented people of many different walks of life; that is the real draw.
If you would like to experience the team environment, during this incredible race, and help make this great event come to life, please register at:
